We dream of returning to our source
Of light and love.
Slowly and holistically,
Quietly,
Seeking solace,
Surrendering to the sovereignty of the divine and nature,
Held in a bouquet of marigolds, hibiscus, petunias, roses and onion bulbs.
A bountiful garden that heals us through its Divine Love.
Reem AlMulla, Founder of Four Freedom and artist Sara Ahli, collaborate on a Ramadan capsule collection called Divine Love, inspired by nature, holistic healing, and spiritual transcendence.
Seeking to expand the awareness of slow fashion and ethical processes, the duo commissioned us to produce 100% naturally dyed, artisanal silk crepe de chine fabric. Using a floral bundle dye technique, the bouquet was carefully curated by us for their healing properties and as a representation of the landscape of spring perennials in the UAE.
All four of us aligned through their commitments to practicing sustainably, sensitively, melding tradition with contemporary living, slower paces, celebrating the healing energies of flora and fauna and the intangible divine.
Divine Love is designed with the yearning to build a deep connection with nature; one that returns you to the source of divine peace, love and surrender.
The collection consists of four dress styles; ود (love) , حلم (dream), نور (light) , and ملك (sovereign). Gathering, pleating and voluminous sleeves within the collection emphasize a romantic and feminine silhouette. The naturally dyed silk is consciously used, alongside a 100% satin weave cotton, in accents and trimming details throughout the collection.
The color palette consists of nuances of the floral materials used within our signature ‘garden to garment’ bundle-dye technique. To compliment the fragility, healing properties and natural softness of these floral accents, hues of emerald, amethyst and citrine were used.
Divine love is a timeless, season-less and ethically made collection containing fragments of a blooming garden: marigold, petunias, hibiscus, rose petals, onion skins and eucalyptus leaves. These garments are living, ephemeral organisms that can be read as talismanic, centering, and healing - they should be loved and cherished.
Divine Love can be purchased on Four Freedom's starting April 3rd 2021.
